This functional art piece is a great addition to a coffee table or sideboard! It’s made entirely out of unique pieces of reclaimed wood. The base is sliced from a naturally felled tree that rotted out in the core, leaving behind a beautiful design. The coasters are cut from a petrified branch that I’ve been hoarding, er, saving, and the coaster holders are from a small branch that decided to nose dive in my backyard this winter.
Two different designs are available. The first has a notch in the slab for the petrified coaster to ‘float’ and be displayed:
There is also plenty of room on the slab for a bottle of wine. (Apparently in today’s post I will be promoting Dead Bolt as well as my work.)
The second design is without the display notch:
As with all of my tabletop pieces, The Slab has felt footies on the base to protect it and the surface it is on.
The Slab: $25
